Junior Librarians

A hard-working team that makes a great difference

by Marcy Dorman

Junior Librarians, Catarino, Kel'C, Laura and Zach, have provided invaluable assistance after school in the library .

Laura creates a book card and call number label for a new book.

The Junior Librarians show great pride in applying the library skills they have learned, such as covering book jackets, processing books that includes labeling books with the correct call number, adding book pockets and library check-out cards.

They believe the traits of a good Junior Librarian are:  courtesy, helpfulness, being meticulous and fun-loving.

Zach carefully adds protective covers to book jackets.               Book 2

And with over 150 books checked in and out each week, the Junior Librarians are vital to tackling the unending task of returning books to the proper place on the shelf,

Kel'C gathers information to process new book.

There's always dusting, sweeping and vacuuming to be done, and the Junior Librarians are always eager to lend a hand.

Catarino helps out dusting computers and shelves.

Our Junior Librarians accomplish so much due to their wonderful teamwork! What a valuable asset they are to our library program! We love 'em!

THANKS, Junior Librarians! You're the best!
