2009-2010 Big Springs Animal Projects

  The Big Springs 4H members got to pick out their animals on Thursday October 8. There are 11 4H members with an animal project this year. The 4H club got 5 lambs and 5 goats for the members to choose from. At the meeting on the previous Tuesday, names were drawn to see who got to pick in order from 1 to 5. Amanda did not pick because she was the only one that had a pig project. Amanda will get her animal at the tag in on Sunday the 11th of October. 

Jesse, Bobby and Mr. D had been getting the portable pens ready for the animals but in the meantime, all the animals had been kept in two large pens by the ag building. Everyone had fun picking out their animals on Thursday and this was a good opportunity for the 4H members to spend a little time taming their projects before the tagging on Sunday.

4H animal projects this year are:

Goats: Aquisha, Khadijah, Gabe, Carlos, and Kyle

Sheep: Brenin, Brittany, Melissa, Dammond, and Tommy

Swine: Amanda
