Rabbit Projects Arrive at Big Springs

by Tripp Davenport

September 28, 2008

On Sunday the 21st of September, the 4H club members who have rabbit projects travelled to the show barn in Leakey. They were met at the barn by Joel Pigg, the county agent, and Mr. and Mrs. Mangelberger, 4H adult volunteers. The club members chose rabbits for their projects and had the rabbits validated for the county show in January. The Mangelbergers helped the girls groom the rabbits and taught the girls some tricks for caring for their rabbit projects. The rabbit projects for this year from the Big Springs 4H club are Amanda, Alma, Jasmine, and Melissa. The girls are looking forward to caring for their projects and they hope to learn a lot about raising and showing rabbits.
